Former middle school band teacher arrested on sexual exploitation of children

PRESS RELEASE – On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, members of the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant and made an arrest in an ongoing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) case.

The arrest and search warrant were part of an investigation that began in May of 2025, when Investigator Nicole Wilson, received a cybertip from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) system.

The ICAC information received included several movies of pre-pubescent children involved in sexual acts that were uploaded to a Verizon account.

Investigator Wilson, our Crimes Against Children and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) specialist, was able to identify the person who the account belonged to, where he lived and also matched other information including an IP address for one of the uploads.

Investigator Wilson secured the appropriate warrants and was also able to secure the services of K-9 Maxim and Deputy Melinda Flood of the Murray County Sheriff’s Office.

K-9 Maxim is an Electronic Storage Detection K-9, which means he can smell any electronic device that can store data.

During the arrest of the offender and the service of the search warrant, Investigators found a laptop that was open and had active CSAM playing on it.

After carefully searching the home and collecting evidence for over three hours, K-9 Maxim and his handler, Deputy Melinda Flood entered the home.

K-9 Maxim was able to locate nine hidden electronic storage devices. We thank the Murray County Sheriff’s Office for allowing us to use Deputy Flood and K-9 Maxim today.

We truly appreciate the fantastic work Deputy Flood and K-9 Maxim did helping us find evidence that we would not have found.

Bradley Curtis Kingsley, a 63-year-old W/M out of Tallapoosa, GA was arrested and is facing multiple charges of Felony Sexual Exploitation of Children.

“One of my biggest priorities when I took office was to protect kids,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “I tell people all the time how difficult these cases are to work, for everyone involved. We have been blessed with several great Crimes Against Children investigators since I took office, and I am proud of the work that Investigator Wilson has done on this case as she continues this important work. I would like to personally thank the Murray County Sheriff’s Office for letting us use Deputy Flood and K-9 Maxim today. They did a great job. We remain dedicated to helping and protecting all children.”
