HARALSON COUNTY, Ga. – On Thursday, July 11, 2024, members of the Haralson County Crime Suppression Unit and the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force followed leads on a wanted person out of our jurisdiction to a residence in Douglasville, Georgia.

James Todd Fincham, a 58-year-old W/M out of Temple, GA was wanted on a Felony Bench warrant for failing to appear for court.

CSU and DTF members along with two Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrived at the residence and were able to locate Fincham and take him into custody. Mr. Fincham, when arrested, was in possession of several grams of Meth and he will be facing additional charges in Douglas County for that crime.

The bench warrant stems from an arrest made by the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force in March of 2023 on Frances White Road in the Draketown Community.

The DTF worked an investigation into Fincham that culminated in a search warrant at his home. During the search, James (Jim) Fincham was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, 70 individually packaged bags with a powder substance containing fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine as well as other Schedule 3 and Schedule 4 drugs and a firearm.

James Todd Fincham was arrested for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) Trafficking Methamphetamine, VGCSA Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 3 Drug, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 4 Drug, VGCSA Felony Possession of Marijuana, VGCSA Possession of Cocaine, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 1 drug, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

“I appreciate the effort of our Crime Suppression Unit and the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force in finding this wanted person who absconded and did not show up to face the consequences for his actions,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “I have made it clear that if you sell drugs here, we will find you and arrest you. I have also stated more than once that if you run, we will find you and bring you to justice. I would also like to thank the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for assisting us in the apprehension of this wanted felon.”
