Drug arrest in Haralson County

HARALSON COUNTY, Ga – On July 1, 2024, at a little after 2:30 AM, Cpl. Alexander Zeno conducted a traffic stop on a silver passenger car due to a tag light violation.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Cpl. Zeno could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Cpl. Jarrett Chandler backed up Cpl. Zeno during the traffic stop. Cpl. Zeno had the occupants of the vehicle step out and he and Cpl. Chandler conducted a probable cause vehicle search.

Upon searching the vehicle, a white powdery substance (suspected meth) and marijuana was found in baggies in the vehicle.

On the search incident to arrest, the driver of the car, Donna Allen, and passenger Charles Saylor, more of the white powdery substance (suspected meth), and marijuana was found on their persons.

The passenger of the vehicle originally gave a false name to the deputies, but they were able to find out who is was and that he had a Failure to Appear warrant out of Polk County.

Donna Kay Allen, a 65-year-old W/F out of Temple, was arrested and charged with VGCSA Possession of Methamphetamine.

Charles Kevin Saylor, a 60-year-old W/M out of Tallapoosa was arrested and charged with VGCSA Possession of Methamphetamine and Giving False Information.
