Fincham entered a blind (non-negotiated) plea last week on these charges.

This case began in March of 2023 when the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force served a search warrant on Frances White Road in the Draketown Community after a month’s long investigation with the assistance of our Crime Suppression unit. During the search, James (Jim) Fincham was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms, 70 individually packaged bags with a powder substance containing fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine as well as other scheduled drugs and a firearm. James Todd Fincham was arrested for Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act (VGCSA) Trafficking Methamphetamine, VGCSA Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 3 Drug, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 4 Drug, VGCSA Felony Possession of Marijuana, VGCSA Possession of Cocaine, VGCSA Possession of a Schedule 1 drug, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.

“I appreciate the work of the Northwest Georgia Task Force and our Crime Suppression Unit on this case. I also commend the Haralson County District Attorney’s Office for their diligence in making sure this drug dealer did not get back onto our streets,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “I have said it over and over again, if you deal drugs in Haralson County, we will find you and we will prosecute you. We will not stop going after those who chose to sell that poison in our communities.”
