Man arrested in Haralson County for Child Molestation

The juvenile was referred to the Stephanie V. Blank Center at CHOA (Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta) where the victim did disclose.

A forensic interview was set up for the child at the Carroll County Child Advocacy Center in Carrollton, GA.

Investigator Brent Duggins, the Crimes Against Children specialist for the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office, conducted interviews with the Nurse Practitioner at CHOA, and others associated with this case.

Due to the consistent statements of the victim and the other evidence in the case, Investigator Duggins took out the appropriate warrants.

Micael David Moore, a 53-year-old W/M out of Bremen, GA was booked at the Haralson County Detention Center on charges of Child Molestation and Aggravated Sexual Battery.

This case is still under investigation and more charges are possible.

“These cases are hard to read about, they make us sick because children should be protected,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “In 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline received 36.2 million reports of suspected child sexual exploitation online. Those numbers are very scary for parents. If you allow your teen or pre-teen to have access to technology, we cannot stress enough the importance of having software to help you know who and what is reaching out to them, and where they are from. Because the monster exploiting them could very well live right next door.”
