PRESS RELEASE – On Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 5:28 AM, deputies were dispatched to US Highway 78 in the area of Arise Church in reference to a traffic accident.
Deputies on scene advised that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian in the roadway and requested the Georgia State Patrol.
The Georgia State Patrol did respond and the accident scene and investigation was turned over to them, deputies remained on scene to assist.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The Haralson County Coroner’s Office worked to identify the pedestrian and we would like to thank Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for assisting with that.
The name of the deceased individual is Brendon James Poe, 22 yrs old from Fruithurst AL.
